♥Happy Belated Birthday Huiqi!
e
THREESOME went out to have some threesome fun for Fatty Huiqi's birthday. Hahaha. Amanda and I intended to throw her a mild and pleasant surprise, which was to treat her to the Korean BBQ at West Coast, a sub-branch of the Korean BBQ Restaurant at East Coast Park. The restaurant is only opposite Haw Par Villa, so it was reasonably accessible.
TOO BAD, the stupid Korean BBQ buffet will only start during dinner time on Mondays. Fortunately, we didn't go all the way down to East Coast Park and meet with this disappointment. I so totally felt like throwing a tantrum outside the restaurant, and whine like a stupid bitch. We even joked that we could try to coax the manager to make an exception, by whining "Oppah!" Hahaha. Nah Poon Ji Sha!
BOO!
So with melted down heavy hearts, we took the bus down, with another intention to try the Korean Restaurant at Far East. Along the journey, when we were at Chinatown, we made an impromptu decision to have a Dim Sum buffet at Tian Jin Restaurant. HAHAHA. That totally lifted up our spirits. It wasn't tea time yet, so we walked around the area, and discovered a restaurant that sells really good desserts, Jing Jing Restaurant. Hahaha, all the restaurant names are so ridiculously funny but easy to remember.
Black glutinous rice with ice-cream in coconut,
Mango with Coconut ice,
Durian fried in Bread.
Feeling satisfied with our desserts, we headed to Tian Jin restaurant for our Dim Sum buffet! We stuffed ourselves to the very max we could, primary purpose was to make our money worth. HAHAHA. Ok lah, that was for me. We ate like pigs, and we decided to give ourselves a new name. We'd be the replica of the Dim Sum Dollies, and call ourselves the Dim Sum Fatties! Sounds good eh. Hahaha.
The DIM SUM FATTIES!
She looks like she's doing something else. Tsk tsk tsk.
Dim Sum Buffet menu.
Wide selection!
Our tummies were happy, but we needed to digest some of the food. We walked down from Chinatown to Orchard, and we again, discovered many stores down the road.
So Huiqi, hopefully you enjoyed the treat from Amanda and I, and hope you'd like the presents we got you. We love you always :D

♥MERRY XMAS!
Happy Christmas
to everyone!
Christmas eve morning was spent with Amanda and Johnathan, not to chill out together, but to visit a site for our project. What a way to celebrate! Unfortunately, we didn't manage to enter the site of construction for upgrading, because weather wasn't very good, and plus I think it's a day off for banglahs since it's a public holiday eve, half day!
Weijie and I were late to meet Fenny and Clement at Marina Square. Instead of watching them shop for each other's presents, they in turn had to wait for me to shop around for Shermaine's (niece) birthday present. I bumped into YunXing and Alex several times, like as if we were stalking each other! Saw Jacqueline too, how coincidental. Gosh, how I miss them :(( Before we left to go to our respective destinations, we walked over to Esplanade's Chocz to have a scrumptuous chocolate truffle cake to satisfy our sweet tooth. We actually ordered a whole cake and shared it. Chocolate truffles are never enough, we are sooo going back for more!
Weijie sent me back home to wrap Shermaine's present before he went for his own event. Went over to eldest uncle's house for a christmas get-together. Food was cold and scarce by the time I got there, and it sure was boring. Had a great chat with Valerie, and soon it was time to blow out candles and cut cake for Shermaine's and cousin Pauline's birthday.
Christmas seemed like Chinese New Year, because I received red packets from everyone except a Guess bag from cousin Pauline. The christmas spirit is dying off in the family, no more anticipation till 12am, no more excitement from opening the presents. I even went back home before striking 25december 12am, when I usually would stay overnight. OH WELL.
It was christmas day and I was looking forward to whip up a meal at Clement's house with the same double date. The four of us met up during mid-afternoon at Bukit Timah Plaza's NTUC finest. I swear it's really not cheap. 300g of mince pork was 8bucks! I think so, can't remember. We shopped for the ingredients for our dinner menu, and I picked up the big white portbello mushrooms and cheese and put them in the cart. We cabbed back to his house with all the grocery bags although it was really near his house.
Took all the food out once we reached back, and went up to Clement's room to play some card games to kill time. Soon, it was time to COOK! Yayyy!
This steamer/ cooker/ griller/ toaster, is damn fucking amazing! It does wonders.
CLEFEN!!!
Mushrooms stuffed with Ham and Cheese.
These were the stuffed mushrooms that I MADE. With a LITTLE BIT of help from Clement. Hahaha.
Weijie's dishes- Mushroom Bacon Wrap, Bacon Rosti
Fenny's grilled Salmon with Indonesian black sauce.
Our Christmas dinner!
Dinner was good, and I'm super proud of the stuffed mushrooms, it was delicious! Hahaha, followed by Fenny's salmon. Clement was supposed to prepare the pasta, but it turned out that his domestic helper and mother did the cooking of pasta. Cheryl joined us to eat, and it was fun watching her and her good ol' brother Clement bicker with so much enthusiasm.
I swear Clement's parents are super cute. His mother kept praising our cooking and kept saying, "Wow, you kids know how to cook, very clever ah."
His father was so fascinated over the Magic Vegetable, where you throw the thumbsized rubber thing into the water, and then it would grow bigger over 48 hours.
Cheryl! She's still as retarded as ever.
We had at least 10 games of Mahjong with his mother's fake Louis Vuittion Mahjong set, and his mom made sure our hands were clean before we touched her LV mahjong set. Cheryl won like several games, and we believe it's because of the feng shui.
We then played non-gambling card games we could possibly think of, like Heart attack and Bluff. Cheryl was so funny, she always lost at Bluff, because she will put the wrong card down, and then take a very long time to think before she puts a card down. HAHAHA!

Sometimes even the
parents should at least show duly respect to their own children, answer questions properly and cease contradicting themselves.
If they don't want us to be what they don't want us to be, then be a good example.
I wouldn't want to follow in their footsteps.

♥Night Cycling
Night Cycling 2008 is finally OVER, and it has been a smooth success!
Although it was tiring, I hope everyone had fun at least!
Thank you to all who helped to make this event so smooth sailing, especially to Justin and Benson :D
Thank you to all the Student Leaders who made my recee days sooooo freaking fun!
And it was fun to be on the Lorry with Gary and Xiangyun, it was splendidly gay!
I was just ultra busy with briefings and groupings.
But one distracting thing I can't help noticing is that I can't close my mouth when I'm busy.
Whew!
Presenting you Guo An the UGLY. HAHAHA. He is so going to kill me.
That's me and Guo An the UGLY!
Smile! Get that shot!
100 odd bicycles laid out neatly.
Warming up for the strenuous activity. That's cute.
Oooh, we are like soooo excited!
They look really happy.
They look very happy too!
This is Danny and his broken-chained bicycle.
Beautiful sunrise by the sea.
Gary is cool when driving the lorry, but he's a bit of a road idiot.
Hello my dear freshies!
Yayyyyyy, now I'm left with the stupid photo event!

♥Thieves Market
Went to the Thieves Market at Sungei Road between Bugis and Little India, and yeah, it lives up to what people call Old Pervs' street. Although there were dirty old men, but there were also the really nice and friendly elderly misters around.
There was this wooden rubberband gun which caught both or two eyes. It just looked so ancient and hand-made, that we just bought it as soon the first offer was made without a bargain. There were only two of a kind, and at the same time, another uncle was also attracted to it and bought the other one. The Indian uncle who sold the toy gun to us was so whimsicial and amiable, he cracked jokes like telling us to go to Chinatown with the other uncle to have a cowboy showdown with our guns.
The uncle who has such passion for his toys.
Talented uncle, like in the olden days when things had to be done yourself.
Skilled handicrafts. I'd want to learn too :)
There were, without reservation, countless of good deals, despite them being really crummy and dirty.
The first thing we caught sight of when we entered the the street of layed out mats, was this old Leica camera, that I presume can't be used anymore. It was held up for sale at 200dollars. What a deal! But duh, our budget for anything was much lower than that amount. We spotted this Leica leather camera bag, whic I never got to touch it or ask for the price, that CHUA lah! By the time we went back, the Leica collection was all GONE.
We combed the area, and found the Sungei Road Laksa stall that Wikipedia had talked about. Hahaha. And it was more than satisfying, more flavourable than the degrading Katong Laksa at Holland Village.
We ate at Soup Spoon in Bugis Junction, and headed down to Grandma's place.
