Cycling Club at East Coast

I had fun cycling from East Coast to Changi Village with the newly-joined club.

Amanda, Huiqi, Huinan, Jermaine and I met in school early in the morning, just to take the prepared shuttle bus to East Coast. We waited several minutes just for those few people to come. We were getting all complainy, that we were hungry and tired of waiting, because we couldn't wait to cycle and lose those calories!

The bus ride there was pretty quick, and soon enough we were there at East Coast. We went to find Shuling, Eames, and Jon there, and waited around some more. We noticed that there was like a ratio of 1:10 girls, including us. That's pathetic! Got our bikes and we set off.

There we go, and I was chewing Eames's offered chewing gum, okay lah, I actually snatched it from Amanda. So as I cycle, I chew chew chew, the more I chew, the more tired I grew. Then I finally spitted it out, while Amanda's slipper slipped off her feet. I tell you, she damn clever. She stopped as if there was no such thing called a brake, instead use her own barefeet. HAHAHA. She then had the Gold-digger's feet again. When we continued, I felt like I was getting tired, more of out of breath. I was like, HUH, am I so weak, has my stamina really dropped that much? I had to get off the bike, sit down on the grass patch, and drink my isotonic drink. And guess what, we were still in East Coast Park. I really couldn't believe myself. Shuling, Jon, Eames they all stopped by, even the Cycling Club's Vice-chairman thought I couldn't make it already. Just as I recovered from that, I got up to continue the journey. I thought about it, and realised it must have been the chewing gum that killed me. But they say it's because I chiong, I SWEAR, I didn't chiong.

I pedalled at normal pace, and didn't feel at least tired. I was moving fast because my gear was on 3. Soon after, I actually caught up all the way to the front with the guys. WOOHOO. We were on the endless road at Changi airport by then. When I turned back, the rest were quite far away, because the whole bunch of us were cycling together, and I had no idea who they were. Not bad, I made friends. But the only things they said to me were, "Wah, sia lah, you cycle damn fast sia", "How come you only girl here", "Not bad for a girl huh". However, I didn't even get to know their names, neither did they ask for my name. They started racing ahead of me, by pedalling really really fast, but too bad for you suckers, I caught up with you guys without a drop of sweat. Slow and steady wins the race! So moral of the story, GIRLS ARE BETTER AT ENDURANCE AND PERSERVERANCE.

I was damn proud of myself when we reached Changi Village, but in the end we still had to wait for the rest. I was tomato-faced, but I was really seriously honestly damn happy, it's as if I finished a big race. Hahaha. When more of them arrive, we went ahead to buy sugar cane to quench our thirst. It's like sooooo good like being in heaven. Sugar Cane is love. Love is sugar cane.(sounds familiar? Geraldina?) Hahaha. The guys asked me to join them in the group2 then chiong back together, I was like huh, I want to be with my friends. See, I am so loyal.

So we decided to take our bikes and cycle back towards East Coast Park. We went really slow at first, but I decided to speed up ahead because I wanted to faster get back to East Coast. This time I really damn action, because I wanted to race with the guys I was moving along with initially. Turn out we started doing what the cyclists always do, cutting wind resistance with formations. So we took turns, so damn bloody tiring to be the front person. So whenever there was anyone in front, we would just stay near behind him to cut wind. HAHAHA. So funny. I talked alot to that particular guy but I never got his name, only know he's from Business Studies. DUDE, wherever you are, GREAT TO HAVE KNOWN YOU. On the way back, I started feeling my muscles getting tensed, so this resulted to me getting leg muscle cramps like 4-5 times each, when I had to stop and tip-toe. DAMN BLOODY PAIN, CRAMPS TOTALLY SUCKS. Thanks to the two first-aid person for being present there with me all the time even when I tried to shoo you guys away, and of course QinJie and Amanda the fatty for supporting and accompanying me. So from first, I got to LAST. How cool is that!!! COOL BEANS. But really man, I felt like I shedded like millions of calories. I felt even better when I heard we cycled about 42km in total.

Shed so much also no use, we had lunch at the Korean Restaurant above the Bicycle Rental Shop. The rest insisted on having a buffet that only allows free flow of BBQ pork and chicken, but no beef. But because I wanted to save money, and not spend so much, the few of us sat at another table and just ordered our Beef Bibimbap. I felt full anyway, because we were served the many appetizers, and even desserts after our main course! All for a lunch special of $9.90! Good buy huh. So I didn't regret not eating the lunch buffet which costs 30bucks per pax.

I found a faster bus to get home, which saved me alot of time. Exhausted, I plonked on the couch once I reached home.

I'm talking champagne wishes and caviar dreams.
