♥2nd day in Hong Kong!
Our 2nd Day in Hong Kong !!!

Breakfast Hong Kong style!
Left to Right: Rice Roll, salty bean curd (xian dou jiang), sweet beancurd
I felt much better after sleeping for an extensive period of many hours, since my lack of sleep the day before left me really lethargic. Got up, freshened up, and went down to the streetside to buy wholesome genuine Hong Kong style breakfast. We bought a rice roll, that consists of you tiao, pork floss and preserved szechuan vegetables wrapped in glutinous rice. We also bought salty beancurd, and the normal sugared beancurd. It tastes really different from what we get from Singapore. We brought the food up to our under-sized apartment, and miserably sat on our bed to eat while we watched City Harvest's online service, all just because of Sharon Tan.Later, we made our way down to Jordan MTR to meet Auntie Jing! I was so happy to see her in person after such a long time. The first thing she said to me when she saw me was, "Oh my gosh, E-lis! YOu are so fat now!" OH Well! Got used to it already lah, nothing new. We were to meet our prospective landlord to take a look at the house. An Indian man in an all-white robe came to fetch us, to bring us to his cozy home. We followed him to a very rundown building, ad his house looked like it had gone through the war times. There was a lady which I presumed is his wife, sweeping the soiled floor, and a man who looked like Osama Bin Laden with his beard and moustache sitting on the double decker bed stoning. Oh gosh. You would have to kill me to live in such a state of a terrorist look-a-like house, so scary. We rejected the offer, and went to look for another place.
Auntie Jingggggg!!!!! Missed her a lot worxzxzxzzzzz!
We lunched at Yoshinoya, and their Beef Bowl somehow tastes better than Singapore's pathetic serving. Auntie Jing's auntie and cousin came to join us in our scout for apartments, and they were extremely helpful, greatly appreciated their enthusiasm in helping us. :) Next, we headed to Mongkok to check out the Astronaut Hotel that was advertised in the newspapers. Auntie Jing's auntie tried to be funny, and she entered the hotel saying, "So where are all the astronauts?" Haha. The Hotel was just a single level with about 6-8 rooms for rental. We managed to haggle the price down, however, considering the facilities that were also unavailable, it was equivalent to our current apartment, just that the room was way bigger. We weren't very satisfied with the price, so we left our number with them, just in case Bosco's new offer did not meet our expectations. We headed back to Causeway Bay, and showed Auntie Jing our apartment. She was unintentionally sniggering at the size of the house. Soon after, we walked over to our arranged destination with Bosco, and waited for him to arrive. Expecting an old or middle-aged man wearing pink, a young man in pink Abercrombie shirt appeared in front of us. He's unexpectedly young for a boss, and we found out he took over the family business. He showed us the house, and we immediately fell in love with the apartment and we decided to take it without hesitation. They had Cable TV, bigger room space, proper kitchen, bigger toilet, a washing machine and a clothes dryer. SWEET! Another plus point was that, it was really accessible from all directions!
Tasty Salted Chicken and Bubble Tea from a roadside stall on Mongkok Street :) Very yummy but very little :(
Heaved a sigh, that our accomodation has finally been settled. So since were in for a celebration, we MTR-ed back to Mongkok for a shopping spree!

Great shopping at New Town Mongkok Shopping Centre! Noodles mixed with a wide variety of ingredients to choose from @ HKD 2.50 each. Cheap and good yo!
